MMFF.. Here's my opinion.

Christmas is near and so the MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival). I’ve seen the trailers of most films that’s included on the MMFF, and they all look better than last year. Good job for that, but I can’t compare these new films with international films. Like us, they have better set of films than last year.

I’m not a professional when it comes to films, I can’t tell what’s right and what’s wrong, but I do have a point of view just like anybody else. Philippine films adjust the content of their film just to get a rating that is more suitable for everyone, but somehow it spoils the film. Philippine film makers value the rating more than the entertainment, which I think equivalent of being concern of the income rather than the service you offer. It’s just my humble opinion but it’s one that I believe in. I only watched few Philippine independent films, but I heard a lot of them. It looks like indie films are more focused on the content of the film, that’s why I’m not surprised why most of films from the Philippines that were awarded by international association are independent films.
